Members of staff need to be trained if they are going to get the most out of working for you. Engaged, well trained members of staff are more likely to stick around and keep working for you, so this really is very important. If you are going to give them the right training, it need to be carefully thought out.
Staff involvement is essential to the process. Make sure you staff feel listened to and take their comments about training they would like fully on board. Make sure it’s clear that nobody is being criticised for having holes in their knowledge – this is all about everyone bettering themselves and being the best they can be at their jobs.
Keep abreast of all new training modules and courses. If none suit, design your own. You can deliver training yourself, or work with an external agency to provide quality training in various areas.
